Indivisible Joplin Plans Protest and School Supply Drive to Show Solidarity with Local Families
Indivisible Joplin and local residents will be gathering at Rep. Eric Burlison’s office to deliver a powerful message advocating for families and children, while also collecting school supplies for local school districts. Supplies should be new and in their original packaging.
This event aims to highlight the urgent need for policies that prioritize the well-being of families over the interests of billionaires and corrupt politicians. The local event is being organized as part of the nationwide Families First Campaign. Find more information on the national campaign at www.familiesfirstnow.org.
“Our families come first, and we refuse to be sacrificed for billionaires,” said Jenna Ehrhardt, a representative of Indivisible Joplin. “We demand an end to the harmful policies passed in the reconciliation bill that will neglect our children, seniors, and communities.”
